A new year and another new booking with another new skill you can learn!
Folk dance classes starting in the centre from 10th January.
Tuesdays 8pm til 9pm.
These classes are suitable for everyone, whether you think you have two left feet or whether you enjoy lots of kinds of dance and want to try something new. Under 16s will need to be accompanied by an adult. There is no need to bring a partner.
We’ll be doing dances from the English tradition of social folk dances, which includes barndance and ceilidh, village dances, and the more elaborate dances you see in period dramas like Poldark. We’ll be focusing on dancing for fun and exercise, rather than historical accuracy. But if you are interested in the rich and complex history of these dances there will be opportunities to find out more!
Folk dancing is fun, social and good exercise. It is a great way to relax, get some low impact exercise and make new friends.
For more info, email Jen Morgan firstname.lastname@example.org or phone me on 01926 810 415. Classes will be £5 each, pay on the door.
